The king of the jungle is recognized instantly by his big fluffy mane, big paws and powerfully built body. The queen of the jungle would be the female lion and she is a more petite version without the fluffy mane.

His height is up to 1.70 meters; however the length of the lion can be up to 2.5 meters or just over 8ft long. He is big and would need to be if he is to rule over the other animals.

The lion weighs in at 250 kg.
Where they live:
In Africa and parts of Asia. The Lion is an endangered species in Asia and can now only be found in the Gir Forest in N.W India
What they eat:
Meat lovers, the lion will snack on wildebeest, impala and buffalo. However, if he is hungry, he will snack on anything that moves.
