Brown Bears have one of the most powerful handshakes in the world. His high five has enough power to send a grown adult up to10 meters backwards. This is enough of a reason to just say ‘hi’.
During the winter the bear will hibernate. They can sleep for 4-7 months without food or water. You can imagine how grizzly they are when they wake up!
Males are roughly double the weight of the female, but are nearly the same dimensions.

The grizzly may look cute and cuddly however it is pound for pound, the most powerful animal in the world. Grizzly’s powerful legs and shoulders help it to dig up roots and bulbs and to excavate dens in earth and snow when it needs to hibernate in the winter. Grizzly’s thick matted coat is its portable sleeping bag.

Up to 1000 kg (2204lb). That’s a lot of toy teddy bears!
Where they live:
Woodlands, forest and mountains in the northwest of America and Canada.
What they eat:
Roots, fish, and other meat sources. Brown bears are carnivores.
